Beach House Done With New Album, Or Are They?
Earlier this week, the folks at the legendary Electric Lady studios posted a message saying, "Just wrapped the new Beach House record in Studio A...such a rad record//band," which is obviously big news. Beach House, makers of 2010's masterful Teen Dream, have been recording the follow up to their breakthrough for more than a while. So, apparently, the album is finished, at least on Electric Lady's end.
HOWEVER! According to Sub Pop, the studio jumped the gun, and the album isn't done yet. So expecting an announcement on the release date is premature. Electric Lady even took down the message.
So, know this: Beach House are at least close to completing their new album. 2012 just got a little bit more potentially awesome. [NME]
