50 years into their career, The Beach Boys are poised to have their highest-charting album in 37 years with the fresh-out That's Why God Made the Radio. According to Billboard, the LP could debut in the top three of the Billboard 200 when sales are officially revealed next Wednesday, June 13. Per the report, Radio may have sold roughly 60,000 to 65,000 copies by tomorrow, June 10, which marks the end of the first week of sales for the album being tracked.
1974 marked the last time the Boys charted so high, when the greatest-hits album Endless Summer reached the very top of the Billboard 200. At press time Adele's 21 and Alan Jackson's Thirty Miles West are set to be the only albums ahead of Radio; Big K.R.I.T.'s Live from the Underground and Curren$y's The Stoned Immaculate are projected to round out the top five.
