Basement Jaxx To Provide Score For New Sci-Fi Movie

When you're a veteran dance duo and are looking around for something new, the trend these days seems to be to provide the score for a sci-fi action movie. Daft Punk did it, so did the Chemical Brothers and now the Brixton, U.K. boys in Basement Jaxx are getting in on the gig.

Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe will be lending their composition skills to Attack the Block, a new movie written and directed by Joe Cornish, who co-wrote the screenplay for the upcoming Steven Spielberg-directed Tintin movie. Attack the Block tells the story of "a teen gang in South London defending their block from an alien invasion," according to IMDB. That sounds pretty damn awesome.

Attack the Block hits U.K. theatres April 8.
