Hip-hop artist B.o.B took to Reddit yesterday (12 May) to promote his new album Ether. However, it quickly became apparent that users were more interested in quizzing him on his flat earth conspiracy theory.

The “Magic” performer didn’t shy away from the questions when they arose, replying with witty comebacks and sly remarks. The questions ranged from “How do you keep pushing yourself as a musician instead of falling flat?” to “At what point did you realize your life was a lie and the earth really is flat?” Clearly seeing the funny side of it, B.o.B fired back replies like “Haha I have fans that don’t let me fall.”

But things got even more bizarre when fans tried to direct the focus onto his new music, with the rapper seemingly not wanting to talk seriously about it. Questions like “What is the biggest change in the music industry since you started?” and “Who is your favorite artist right now?” were met with snarky responses such as “People don’t wear large white tees anymore” and “Good question.”

He also stated in the AMA that The Eminem Show was his favorite hip-hop album of the last 15 years, and that a project with Kid Kudi is likely to happen at some point. He also revealed that Alvin & The Chipmunks were a guilty pleasure of his.

B.o.B hit headlines in 2016 for his Twitter tirade regarding the controversial theory. In one of his most notorious tweets of the time, he said “A lot of people are turned off by the phrase ‘flat earth’ … but there’s no way u can see all the evidence and not know… grow up.”

The rapper’s latest album Ether was just released yesterday, following lead single “4 Lit” which was put out in October of last year. It marks B.o.B’s fourth studio album to date.
