Aziz Ansari Interviews Animal Collective But It Would Have Been Better As Randy
Today on the Fader, the website posted a pretty epic interview with Animal Collective conducted by comedian Aziz Ansari. The two groups communicated via e-mail to talk about everything from the Ultimate Warrior to their baby pictures to Bell Biv Devoe, complete with YouTube links to the things they reference and their actual baby pictures in the article.
It's amusing to watch the two similarly-aged groups go back and forth with their nostalgia for middle school and wedding dances, or their enthusiasm for pepper-and-pineapple pizza, but I couldn't help but think the entire time how much a good ol' fashion Raaaaaaaandy fellatio story would have spiced things up a bit. Pretty interesting idea, but really hard to read, and I think I ultimately agree with the commenter who was repulsed by the self-indulgence.
And man that Ultimate Warrior was a strange one.
