After playing Coachella in the past weeks, Azealia Banks has announced that she will scrap most upcoming summer festival dates. According to eFestivals, the Harlemite has canceled her appearances at Bestival, Lovebox, Parklife and a slew of other festivals due to recording commitments. Banks recently delayed her 1991 EP and is currently working on her debut, Broke With Expensive Taste.
Still, NME reports that Banks will play BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend, as well as both the Reading and Leeds Festivals. As far as a reason goes, the rapper--who recently turned Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans" on its head--took to Twitter and pointed the finger at her old management. Banks is now being managed by Troy Carter, who also manages Lady Gaga. [FACT]
They were all prematurely booked by my old management without any consideration for me and the album I need to finish!
