Axl Rose Retreats To Home, Possibly Fearing The Strange World Into Which He Emerged, Low Album Sales

Normally the picture of good judgement and restraint, Axl Rose has been having some issues of late with his manager, Irving Azoff. The New York Daily News is reporting that Azoff has been fired and rehired at least three times in the last five weeks by Rose. The source, speaking anonymously, went on to say that rift started when Azoff presented Rose with a plan to reinvigorate the sales of Chinese Democracy. Supposedly Rose won't hear anything of the plan and is refusing to even leave his house. Given Rose's acknowledged history of manic depressive behavior, it looks like band operations are on hold for the near future. Perhaps it is finally time to realize that he is simply too beautiful and fragile to function in a world like ours. [The Daily Swarm]

Lets face it, Gn'R, as we know it, is completely unpredictable... once the engines start rolling again, they completely shut down for a few years. Let's go back to 2001-2002, when Axl resurrected the "Guns n' Roses" name with a look, new sound and a new set of players. Despite the contemptible reconstruction of his face and the fact that he was seemingly out of shape(ex: the fact that he was huffing and puffing after the first line of "welcome to the jungle), it was great to see the Gn'R outfit still had some form of life, or what of it, and good things were dollars to doughnuts. However, it wouldnt be a few years later untill we actually heard new music or see Axl and company again. Although this time he brought a better dynamic, and a new line up. The departure of Buckethead, Robin Finck and Josh Freeze made room for guitarists Richard Fortus and Ron Thal and drummer Frank Ferrer. Why the need for two drummers and three guitarists? Who knows. But don't quesiton Axl's intuition, for he brings nothing short of brilliance and smarts to the table. We wouldn't hear Chinese Democracy in its entirety untill 2008 but bits and pieces for several months to a year before. Since it's release we have heard numerous rumors of a tour...but when havent we heard rumors of a tour?? The only semblance we've seen of Axl this year is through his answering of fans' questions and interview with Del James, which, in essence, was to make a point about the state of Guns past, present and future...who knows what 2009 and beyond will bring? It's like I said..Gn'R is competely unpredictable
