Someone claiming to be Axl Rose recently chatted with fans on two Guns N' Roses message boards, potentially breaking the wall of silence that has surrounded the release of Chinese Democracy. Rose, or the obsessed acolyte pretending to be him, fielded questions from fans hardcore enough to still be posting on a Guns N' Roses website, and responded to inquiries about his lack of interviews in the music press, his feelings about Kanye West beating him in sales, and the possibility of a reunion of the band's classic lineup. Though he remained gracious throughout the questioning, which became heated at times, Rose offered little new insight. He was "misled" about the promotion of Chinese Democracy and texted Kanye before their albums released to avoid any drama. The one point he was rather firm on was that he would not be taking the stage with Slash and Izzy any time soon. That's a relief. I don't want anything to mess with that upcoming Velvet Revolver album [The Daily Swarm]
