Axl Rose Files Huge Lawsuit, Accuses Guitar Hero Of Spinning A Web Of Lies And Deception

The grudge between Axl and Slash has tormented a certain segment of our population for years, but video game maker Activision may have to pay actual money for stepping on Rose's toes. The singer has filed a twenty million dollar lawsuit against the company over its use of "Welcome to the Jungle" in Guitar Hero III. Apparently Axl is fine with his song being reduced to a three-minute button mashing orgy, as long as Slash or the guitarist's rebound band, Velvet Revolver, appeared in the game. Rose therefore felt a little put out when Slash appeared as a playable avatar in the game. Unless Activision delivers the same smackdown it did to Courtney Love, perhaps Rose will take his payment in unsold DJ Hero peripherals. [Billboard]
