A.V. Club names the 20 acts that peaked on the debut album

There’s nothing like a list that will get the music-obsessed in a dark and stormy mood. However, this one doesn't look like it'll get our panties/skivvies in that much of a bunch, though the ordering will certainly and pointlessly be debated. The A.V. Club compiled this list of the top twenty rappers and rockers who peaked on their debut albums, and it's pretty much spot on. The most important questions raised here: Are there more artists that belong on this list? Could this list have been longer? Check out A.V. Club’s full explanation for each artist’s placing on the list here.

Pretty good list, although Sunny Day Real Estate's LP2 is fantastic.

I think it'd be more interesting to see a list of artists who became legendary even though they released just one proper album in their careers. Sex Pistols, Jeff Buckley, Slint, Young Marble Giants, etc.
