I'd advocate sorting through the odds and ends given away weekly on Deerhunter's blog to cobble together a personalized album by Bradford Cox's solo project Atlas Sound, if the man himself wasn't almost ready to unleash the private reserve. On February 19th, Kranky Records will release Atlas Sound's debut, Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel. Every second of spooked feedback and cavernous reverb on the disc will be the work of Cox, who played all instruments himself. Though there are bound to be some red herrings scattered through all of those free blog mp3's, expect low key electronics, lush girl group melody, and a healthy dose of heeby-jeebies.
