Asher Roth and Kid Cudi have made a lot of butter off the youth market, so Roth’s recent statement to MTV that “there's a youth movement coming up” seems pretty strategic. He and Kid Cudi are calling their current summer tour “The Great Hangover Tour,” which is meant to attract people who like Todd Phillips’ new movie The Hangover (Generation Y’ers, he directed Road Trip and Old School).
Says Cudi, “We didn’t want to call it the Marijuana Tour, or the Stoner Tour, something wack like that."
Roth, whose breakthrough single was "I Love College," is explicit about their plans to usurp the game. “When Cudi and I linked up, we were on that same tip of making sure that people understand that there's definitely a paradigm shift coming on here."
B.O.B., 88-Keys and Pac Div are also on the tour, which means they have enough people to play beer pong.
