Arsis ceases the Summer Slaughter
West Virginia death metal band Arsis, certainly the baddest-ass band ever to score a ballet, has cancelled the remainder of its appearances on this summer's massive Summer Slaughter tour. Arsis was sidelined on the Sacramento tour stop by a broken-down van, and when a three-day fixit job turned into a two-week debacle, the band was forced to can their involvement with the tour. No word on whether the tour will find a permanent replacement, but it's a damn shame for all youse metalheads that won't get to see Arsis - dem boys put on one of the best live shows on that bill.
