Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders says that the Brit Backlash Band is nearly finished with their new album and could even have it completed by the end of the month. Produced by Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, the untitled project is basically finished, though Helders says that the band will do a bit more recording through the month and then work on rehearsals through December. Going into the home stretch, they’re taking a “no pressure” approach and making sure the work is properly polished before putting it in stores. By the time the dust settles on the holiday season, the quartet will have the kinks worked out and should be ready to debut the best album possible. No date yet but it sounds like we’ll see it by the end of the winter. [NME]
