Arctic Monkeys Announce New Album Release Date, Track List

Arctic Monkeys have been working on their third album for close to a year now, working with Josh Homme, chilling with Diddy and doing new tracks like "Crying Lightning" at their festival dates. Today comes news that the album, still untitled, is in the can, and will be out on August 25 in the U.S. (and a day earlier in the states) via Domino.

The new record promises a heavier vibe thanks to Homme's production, but fans need not worry that the band has changed sounds completely; producer James Ford, who helmed the band's sophomore album, Favourite Worst Nightmare, is on board for this one as well.

The band has a smattering of festival dates to tend to this summer, which will presumably be followed by a full tour behind the album.

Here's the track list:

01 My Propeller
02 Crying Lightning
03 Dangerous Animals
04 Secret Door
05 Potion Approaching
06 Fire and the Thud
07 Cornerstone
08 Dance Little Liar
09 Pretty Visitors
10 The Jeweller's Hands
