The members of Architecture in Helsinki are neither building designers (as far as we know) nor Finnish. They're Australian lads and lassies whose new album, Places Like This, is slated for an August 21 release via Polyvinyl. So as far as the name goes, I'm guessing they picked Helsinki simply for how fun it is to say. "Helsinki." Very childishly enjoyable. The band is currently in their native Down Under, and in August and September AiH tool around Europe. Then in October they had back to these shores. The American leg of their world tour stretches into November, ending up, conveniently enough, at Tallahassee's Club Downunder. These kids are kooks.
