Donnie Darko director Richard Kelly has been blogging about the follow up to his 2006 feature Southland Tales. The Southland Tales box office page on imdb must make painful reading for Kelly, but he's sticking to his guns and working on a sci-fi feature named The Box. And this awkwardly worded quote hints at some interesting outside involvement: "We're starting to work with a very famous band who is honoring us with being the first filmmakers they've ever scored a film with."The LA Times has done a little investigating, checked out producer Markus Dravs' website, and figured out that the "very famous band" is none other than Win Butler's Arcade Fire. The subject matter sounds like a great match for Kelly and Butler's talents. The Box focuses on a couple who are facing an intriguing dilemma. If they press a button on a mysterious box they will receive $1 million. But pressing the button also means they will trigger the death of someone else. Sound familiar? The film is inspired by an old Twilight Zone episode from 1986.
