Arcade Fire's Grammy Award-winning third album, The Suburbs, will once again hit shelves this summer. But this time, it's coming as a deluxe version that's packed with new material and a bonus DVD. First off, the record itself is expanded to include two previously unreleased tracks, "Culture War" and "Speaking in Tongues," with the latter featuring guest vocals from David Byrne. The band has also dropped a longer version of "Wasted Hours (A Life That We Can Live)" into the mix.
As for the DVD, it features the Spike Jonze-directed short film Scenes From the Suburbs along with a documentary, Behind the Scenes From the Suburbs. And for you liner notes nerds, the new booklet includes all the lyrics and 80 pages of photos taken during the making of the short film.
The deluxe version of The Suburbs drops Aug. 2 on Merge.
