Arcade Fire Members Play Surprise Covers Set (Video)
This past weekend at the National-curated Crossing Brooklyn Ferry concert, Richard Reed Parry, Will Butler, Tim Kingsbury, and Jeremy Gara from Arcade Fire brought their covers band out for a surprise set. The group goes by Phi Slamma Jamma, a tribute to the University of Houston's men's basketball team that was known for impressive dunking

Consequence of Sound reports that the group covered Devo's "Uncontrollable Urge" as well as tracks from R.E.M., the Flying Burrito Brothers, and the Everly Brothers. Apparently they pulled a similar stunt at Pop Montreal 2011. Check out a video from the Brooklyn set below:
