Are people still mad when indie artists end up on the soundtracks to movie franchises that are popular with teenage girls? Or did we get over that with all the Twilight soundtracks? If we're still mad, I imagine we'll find a lot to hate about the upcoming soundtrack for the first Hunger Games film. Not all of the artists have been named for the disc--which is out sometime before the film's spring release date--but we know this: The Decemberists and Arcade Fire have given new tracks to the soundtrack. Arcade Fire actually teamed up with AOR kingpin T-Bone Burnett for their track, so it's not like it's a lost album cut.
The best part? The fact that Taylor Swift, who gets a guest spot from the Civil Wars, is the only other confirmed artist on the soundtrack. The Decemberists, Arcade Fire and Taylor Swift, together at last. [MTV]
