Over the weekend, Apple settled the lawsuit brought against it by Eminem's publishing company, Eight Mile Entertainment, which had sought royalties from songs sold on iTunes. Eight Mile's contention was that since it was publishing Em's songs, it was due royalties for all Eminem songs sold on iTunes, but iTunes claims it gave the proper royalties to Aftermath, Eminem's label. The details of the settlement were not released, and it still leaves the question of who gets digital sale royalties unanswered. [Digital Music News]
