According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple might be developing a new music streaming service that could possibly rival such services as Pandora and Spotify.
The article reveals that the company is currently speaking with record labels in order to get streaming rights to music and that the new service could be unveiled as early as next week’s apple event on September 12th.
The article went on to say that the streaming service would be free and would be supported by Apple’s iAd platform. It would also, naturally, be compatible across all Apple devices.
It’s hard to imagine how Apple could go wrong here. With practically everyone using iTunes on their computer, it seems like a natural progression for the company.
