Apple Inc. and Apple Corps Ltd. (a.k.a. The Beatles) make nice

Via: Billboard
Apple Inc. announced today that it has reached an agreement with the Beatles' Apple Corps Ltd. ending the long-lasting feud the two companies had over the "Apple" name and logos.
The agreement calls for Apple Inc. to obtain ownership of all "Apple" trademarks, some of which will be licensed back to Apple Corps Ltd. so that they may continue to use them. The financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs seemed more than pleased to have put the feud to rest. Maybe because he's got dollar signs in his eyes, now that a major hurdle to making The Beatles catalog available on iTunes has been cleared.
"We love the Beatles, and it has been painful being at odds with them over these trademarks. It feels great to resolve this in a positive manner, and in a way that should remove the potential of further disagreements in the future."
