You'll soon be able to get your damn, dirty paws on a new Apes album. The noisy trio's next full length, Ghost Games, is scheduled for a February 19 release via Gypsy Eyes. It's the follow up to the Apes' 2005 album Baba's Mountain, which was released by Birdman. Since that record, The Apes original singer Paul Weil left the band, replaced by Breck Brunson. Brunson shares an affinity for visual art with the other two Apes, keyboardists Amanda Kleinman and bassist Erick Jackson. It was through this mutual appreciation that the three hooked up in their hometown of Washington, D.C. Fans can get a sampling of what Ghost Games holds in tour at the Apes' MySpace, where the new song "Beat of the Double" has been posted.Like any smart, young band, The Apes have a handful of CMJ appearances coming up.
