Peace Orchestra - Peace Orchestra
Peter Kruder, one half of the legendary (but still studio record-less) group Kruder and Dorfmeister, made this downtempo masterpiece in 1999, a year after the similarly successful K&D Sessions was released. This is an original piece of music, though, and it's a great one at that. From the opener "The Man Part 1's" slowly building opening that explodes into a drum heavy beat to the crowning achievement of "Double Drums"," this is beat heavy downtempo music that you've probably heard plastered all over commercials and films without knowing it ("Who Am I" plays over the credits of The Animatrix) and demands your attention even when it's mere background music. An essential record for any downtempo collection.

Excellent choice. Aside from being a perfect companion to the K&D Sessions, I used to bump this back in the day while playing ping pong with friends under an herbal influence. Never failed...
