Iggy Pop - Lust for Life After years of heroin addiction and dimentia, the former Stooge and arguably the greatest frontman of rock was helped back to artistic (and human) relevance by David Bowie, who practically co-created Pop's first solo record, The Idiot. A year later, Iggy had taken charge (though Bowie fans will still need to hear this record) and made a stone-cold classic. Even aside from the perfect title track, which was perfectly used in Trainspotting before being almost ruined for generations to come by the bizarre and totally clueless Norwegian Cruise Line commercials, this record has great, great songs, like "Some Weird Sin," "Neighborhood Threat," and especially "The Passenger." Any fan of early punk and late 70s new wave would be embarrassed to be without this album on their next long car trip. The Passenger (m4a)
