Answer to RS's question about Zack De La Rocha

The Rolling Stone website's question of the day is, "Where the f*ck is Zach de La Rocha?" Well here's at least a bit of an answer:
Darryl Hannah hogged all the publicity swirling around the controversial case of L.A.'s South Central Farmers buy chaining herself to a tree the day the farm was set to be destroyed. But she wasn't the only celeb sticking up for the cause. A short time before the bulldozers bowled in, Zach put on a short benefit concert at the site. Was he rapping, you might ask. Rocking out? None of the above. He was jamming the ukelele. That's right, the ukelele.
Following the link, you'll find a very interesting short piece by RS writer Andy Greene. He beats me to the punch on an idea I've been kicking around in my head for a while--how it is very interesting that Rage ruled in the rather calm '90s but now Zach is laying relatively low in the turbulent Dubya years. Oh well, one more thing to strike off my Prefix to do list.

I was at this concert, and I wrote a little review for the prefix blog.http://www.prefixblog.com/prefixmag_blog/2005/11/zack_de_la_roch.htmlAnd for the record, he did rap, and he did often rock out.

Yeah, when you spend the 90's warning people about the evenutal shit of the 00's, you kinda lose your inspiration to write rock songs. I'm sure Zach's "doing" a whole lot of worthwhile shit, even if he's not putting out cd's.
