Anontune: Social Music Platform Created By Members Of Anonymous?

It remains unconfirmed whether a new social music platform called Anontune, developed by coders who say they are part of the hacker-activist group Anonymous, is actually legitimate. Nevertheless, Anontune was made to apparently cull music from across the internet. Wired got in touch with a creator of the service, who claimed that he and the other makers want to increase people’s overall access to music. He wrote, “…what if you were to combine music websites like Myspace, Yahoo, YouTube and others?”

According a video posted by the Anontune creators, the service “will improve the way music is shared, discovered, and engaged.” You can try it out here, explore the site here, and watch the informational video below. [HypeBot]
