Break out your bongs, boys and girls. Because the ex-leader of the cult art-rock band Bongwater (which also included Kramer, of Galaxie 500/Low/etc. producing fame), Ann Magnuson, is about to be a busy lady. (You may also recognize Magnuson, who dabbles in acting, from films like Panic Room, Desperately Seeking Susan, and The Hunger.) Magnuson's new album, Pretty Songs and Ugly Stories, is about to get wide release from Asphodel Records. (Here's a hint: you can already buy it at Magnuson's website.)
