Animal Collective’s new LP, Merriweather Post Pavilion, isn’t due out until Jaunary 20 via Domino, but the band has just released the cover art for the album, which is a nutty optical illusion. I could have sworn the cover (pictured here) was a .gif animation, but then I took it into Paint and realized it moves until you focus in on a certain area. The picture here is kind of small, so if the cover isn’t moving, go here.

It's hugely disappointing if that is the cover art. I'm hoping it's not. But I do like their website.
