Animal Collective push up <i>Merriweather Post Pavilion</i>'s vinyl release

In a move against/for eager torrent hunters, Animal Collective have announced they are pushing up the vinyl release date of their hotly anticipated Merriweather Post Pavilion to January 6, a full two weeks before the CD/digital relase of the album stateside (on January 20). The vinyl will come on 180-gram vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, and contain a digital download code for the album. 

The U.K. release date for the album (Jaunary 12) remains unchanged. [Pitchfork]
