Animal Collective Live Box Set Sells for $2425 on eBay

You know how every day someone is telling you about how crappy the economy is, how we're all doomed, we'll all be broke, and we'll have to live in igloos made out of foreclosed houses that we've ransacked? Well there's someone out there is doing just fine these days, fine enough to blow $2,425 on a 20-track Animal Collective live box set called Crack Box . Granted, this version is a test pressing, and the set isn't available to the general public yet, so this is something of an exclusive. Plus the proceeds are going to Doctors Without Borders. But still, whoever bought this paid $121.25 a track, or $120.26 more a track than the people that buy this on iTunes will pay. Crazy. [ Stereogum ]

I like Animal Collective and all, but that's just a tad retarded to pay that kind of money for live recordings.

No.
I am honest.
There is a difference.

Yeah, donating to any charity is pretty retarded...not nearly as much as wishing hearing impairment upon someone. Go listen to your In Rainbows album you paid $0.01 for.

It's fairly easy to understand people like this "Banger". Illusion of internet anonymity gives you a power to act like a twat without any confrontation whatsoever. A REAL power, yeah.. Bet he wouldn't be as confident of a moron was he talking face to face.

No.
You are a douche.

I think Banger's point wasn't that he hated donating to charity--it was that this guy paid 2 grand for 20 songs, which is patently ridiculous. If you think otherwise, you are rather myopic.

I'm sorry Ivan but after reading what you've said a few times, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about...
