Animal Collective, Hot Chip Music Featured On 'The Simpsons' Last Night (Video)

Episode 19 of The Simpsons' 23rd season aired last night, and it featured songs from both Animal Collective and Hot Chip. While the bands didn't actually cameo as others have in the past, their music did serve as backdrops for two scenes. Bart's weekday blues are chronicled in a montage using Hot Chip's 2006 track, "Boy From School." And "Winter's Love" by Animal Collective is used in an appropriately snowy scene.

The title, "A Totally Fun Thing That Bart Will Never Do Again," and plot of the episode--which revolves around a cruise--is also a likely nod to the David Foster Wallace essay of a similar name. Below, you can watch Bart's Hot Chip-assisted routine from last night's episode. [P4K]
