NPR has a whole Andrew Bird concert

The always-cool kids over at National Public Radio webcast Andrew Bird last night live from the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. Missed the show? Not a problem. You can download it here. Too bad the audio coverage won't clue you into what kind of socks Dr. Stringz was wearing. That guy has got some funky footwear.

I saw him last week at Webster Hall (NYC) and he had a sampler he controlled with his feet connected to both the guitar and violin so that he would play a rhythm part, loop it and play over it. Dosh was on a drum kit and MPC. He'd do the same thing. Play a live drum part, sample it then create a new beat on the MPC, loop that then play live over top. Unbelievable.
