Andrew Bird makes ABC News' Webcast

We recently blogged about ABC’s World News Webcast and its "New Music Monday" segment, which recently featured pitchfork founder Ryan Schreiber sounding off on his fave upcoming releases.

Well, one of the show's producers saw our blog and let us know they've gone and done a short Webcast on Chicago multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Andrew Bird, that can be seen here. In the segment, the Bird man can be heard whistling and talking and talking about whistling (and violin playing). You can also click here to watch Pitchfork reviewer Joe Tangeri review Bird's newest, Noble Beast.

If the ABC producer is reading this, we'd like to suggest the Canadian indie  quintet Faunts for a future spotlight feature. Their second record, Feel.Love.Thinking.Of, drops Feb. 17 and it's getting lots o' spins in these parts. Read our preview of it here.

Bird's seems like such a calm and collected dude. It's true. Everyone zooms in on the whistling but he's one helluva violin player.
