Andrew Bird Covers "It's Not Easy Being Green" Live
You know what’s great? The Muppets! If you don’t like them, you have no soul. Or, like, you might not just like them. Whatever, no judging over here. But you know what else is great? Andrew Bird! He does like nine million things super well, and dude seems to have a pretty good sense of humor to top it off.
In the above video of an Andrew Bird live performance, you can see him discuss a very serious subject – how much it sucks to be a frog made out of green felt – in his cover of “It’s Not Easy Bein’ Green.”
Word on the street is that ol’ Whistlin’ Andy (that IS his nickname, right?) is going to contribute his version of this song to the soundtrack to the new Muppets movie, which is being directed by Jason Sigel and from what we’ve seen of the trailer, looks absolutely awesome.
