Andre 3000’s solo album out this year?

In an interview with Rolling Stone’s Rock & Roll Daily, Andre 3000 of Outkast revealed that his solo album should be out sometime this year. That’s right, this year.

"It should be dropping by the end of this year or early next year," André said. "I've pretty much been working with myself," he then explained, adding, "I've never really been that big on collaboration."

Ouch. Big Boi is probably pissed at that one. The disc is without a title or any songs at the moment, so all of this could be wishful thinking on Andre’s part. If his disc does come out later this year, it could go head-to-head with Big Boi’s solo debut, Sir Luscious Left Foot… Son of Chico Dusty, which is out sometime this fall via LaFace/Zomba.
