An Eager Nation Holds Its Breath As Weird Al Considers Lady Gaga Parody

Jerry Seinfeld might have recently gotten straight gully on her, but Lady Gaga should be more worried about Weird Al, who is reportedly planning* a parody of one of her songs for his new album. 

Yankovic acknowledges that Lady Gaga is "a great candidate" for a parody, but says that "I don't want to give anything away. All you've got to do is look at the top of the Billboard charts; that's what I'm looking at, too."

Yankovic is reportedly three songs away from finishing his new LP, the follow up to 2006's gold-certified Straight Outta Lynwood, and hopes to have it out later this year. Lady Gaga would be an interesting choice, but given that she is already a joke, it'll probably take all of Al's power to really knock a Lady Gaga parody out of the park. [NY Times]
