Amy Winehouse's "Comeback" Goes About as Well as Imagined (Video)

Amy Winehouse made a "comeback" of sorts this weekend at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival, which was beset by weather problems. Winehouse performed pretty much exactly how you'd expect from her these days; she's unintelligible, dances awkwardly, and storms off stage after less than a full set. Winehouse's people are saying she left because of "technical difficulties," which seems to place blame on the festival people instead of on Winehouse. Video of WInehouse's first few songs is above, and footage of her leaving unexpectedly is below.

You could chalk this up to Winehouse being nervous or technical difficulties or whatever, but given that this is almost exactly like (minus the walk-off) the performance I saw Winehouse give at Lollapalooza in 2007, this is really par for the course (it was one of the most boring concerts of my life, and I had to regularly attend high school chorus concerts). I don't know what anyone was really expecting in regards to Winehouse, since she, unlike Pete Doherty, hasn't been claiming she's clean or getting her act together. She's still the hot mess she was when she came out. [Idolator]

her band is awesome, but i have never seen a remotely good performance of hers. watching her is sort of entertaining in a train-wreck kind of way, but that got old a while ago.
