Amy Winehouse Still No. 1 On U.K. Album Chart

The outpouring of grief following Amy Winehouse’s tragic death last month continues unabated in her native U.K. The singer’s 2006 album Back to Black is still firmly ensconced in the No. 1 slot in the album chart there, beating off stiff competition from Adele, whose 21 is at No. 2, and the newly released Watch the Throne by Jay-Z and Kanye West at No. 3. The latter clearly can’t compete with the female-dominated retro soul/R&B revival that Winehouse helped spearhead when she appeared on the scene in the 2000s. Incredibly, the hip-hop duo are sandwiched in-between two other records by the same artists in the chart, as Winehouse’s Frank is at No. 4 and Adele’s 19 is at No. 5. Check out the bizarre top 10 below.

Amy Winehouse: Back To Black

Adele: 21

Jay-Z and Kanye West: Watch The Throne

Amy Winehouse: Frank

Adele: 19

Beyonce: 4

Randy Crawford: Best Of

Bruno Mars: Doo Wops & Hooligans

Lady Gaga: Born This Way

Jessie J: Who You Are
