According to Gigwise, Soul singer Amy Winehouse has surrendered herself to London authorities and is currently being questioned in connection with various drug offenses. The singer apparently appeared at the police station by appointment, showing the same spirit of cooperation as she did in an incident earlier this month that involved her slapping a patron outside a club in the Camden area of London.  Whether or not this arrest leads to jail time, Winehouse’s 2008 be described in tumultuous. Balancing out the singer’s Grammy success and a performance that was arguably the highlight of the telecast is Winehouse’s continued and very public problem with substances. In recent days, her alleged drug use has led to the loss of a high profile James Bond project and her father calling for her arrest in order to force her to seek help.
