Things got, like, a little too literal for obstreperous British soul singer Amy Winehouse after an August 7 drug overdose that prompted friends and family to urge the singer to enter a rehab facility. Although it's unclear whether Winehouse intends to do so, according to SFGate.com a spokesperson says the singer is resting under medical orders. The overdose is just the latest in a series of public spectacles that have included vomiting on stage in front of hundreds (something we all hope never to do) and heckling Bono during an acceptance speech (something that many of us look forward to one day).
Fortunately for fans, Winehouse is still set to play Virgin's V Festival in Chelmsford, UK, on August 18. She'll share the stage with fellow ne'er-do-well Pete Doherty's band, Babyshambles. For a complete lineup, check out the festival's website: http://www.vfestival.com
