Every move Amy Winehouse makes is documented in the press and online outlets, with concerns about her weight, relationships, and alleged drug addictions continuing to provoke interest. Her music career barely registers a mention these days, and that’s set to continue as her divorce from husband Blake Fielder-Civil is finalized.

Their separation became official today (July 16) in a brief High Court hearing in London. Judge Michael Segal oversaw the divorce, and neither Winehouse nor Fielder-Civil were present at the case. Reports suggest that Fielder-Civil is set to receive a cool £2.4 million ($3.6 million) from Winehouse in the proceedings.

The singer can (hopefully) take a break from her woes and get back to the recording studio now this messy split is over.
