The UK's New Musical Express is reporting that Amy Winehouse's ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil says that once after a long drug binge, the singer "went into a seizure and briefly stopped breathing."

Fielder-Civil says he saved Winehouse's life by pulling her "into the recovery position," after which he "pulled her tongue out of her mouth to stop her biting it." He also claims that before they called a taxi to take her to the hospital, Winehouse was slipping in and out of consciousness, but still calling out for yet more drugs.

Now that Winehouse is apparently alive and well, maybe this news will inspire her to cover that cheesy old '80s tune by the Cutting Crew, "(I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight," which seems to have inspired whoever wrote the NME's sensationalistic headline.
