Amerie’s <i>Because I Love It</i> out next Tuesday

Amerie’s Because I Love It had become a tale of an artist’s left-field, magnum opus being hampered by a major label that holds its rights but refuses to release it (in Amerie’s case Sony BMG).  Sony had shelved the album for almost two years, as fans the world over proclaimed its greatness after the album leaked.

But now, the album is finally getting a stateside release, and its this Tuesday, September 30. Apparently Sony has decided to cut its losses and put out the album long after it has any commercial viability. [Idolator]
