New American Music Club album coming in February

Mark Eitzel and his American Music Club will return with a new album early next year. Entitled The Golden Age, it's scheduled to land February 18 via Merge. It's the follow up to 2004's Love Songs for Patriots, which was the band's first new record in a decade. You can get a lot of info on Golden Age straight from Eitzel himself by reading this post on the band's website. For now, American Music Club only has two live shows scheduled: one at San Francisco's Rickshaw Shop on November 9 and another with Emma Pollock at Los Angeles' Echo on November 13. A full tour is expected to coincide with the new album's release next year.
