That headline up there pretty much says it all: The annual tour of the karaoke contestants of American Idol has been shortened by two weeks after poor sales. It joins Lilith Fair on the growing list of tours that have been canceled this summer.
My favorite part of all these stories is how they have a quote from the organizer of the tour citing "poor ticket sales," since that's the easiest to blame. For once, I'd like to see someone go, "It's because we can't convince people to spend $80 on shitty music like we used to." [Daily Swarm]
