American Idol lines up stars for its second charity show

American Idol has announced that Bono will headline its second annual charity concert. Last year’s event raised approximately seventy-six million dollars for underprivileged children and gave the show a chance to offer reparations for the countless musical sins perpetrated by its contestants. The Rattle and Hum star will be joined by Snoop Dogg, Fergie, Annie Lennox, Mariah Carey, John Legend, and Miley Cyrus. Also scheduled to participate are Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, and the Manning brothers. The concert, which will most likely come at the expense of the show’s weekly elimination catharsis, is scheduled for April 9. [NME]
