Amazon Lists Daft Punk's 'Tron' Soundtrack For November Release

· by

The rumor mill has been wrong about Daft Punk before—remember when they were supposed to be playing Yankee Stadium? But with Tron: Legacy getting ever closer to a release date, and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter confirmed to have provided the soundtrack, speculation about when we’ll hear new music from the duo is reaching its peak.

No official news is available about the release of the soundtrack album to the movie, but Amazon has proved to be an invaluable source of pre-release information of late, and has listed the Tron: Legacy CD with a November 23 release date via Walt Disney Records.

Further rumors, this time from Slash Film, indicate that a preview of the songs written by the band may be forthcoming at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 22-25, although how the music will be presented is open to wild speculation. Some people think a live performance may be in store at Comic-Con, which seems extremely unlikely, while others believe a new trailer containing the music may be shown, which seems more realistic. Expect plenty more speculation and hyperbole before we’ve actually got this thing in our hands.
