I’m going to take a wild guess and say you did not watch the American Music Awards on Sunday. It’s okay. You can admit it. I didn’t watch them either. But apparently none of us watched it. Well, that’s not entirely accurate: 11.6 million of us watched it, which works out to something like 1 in every 25 Americans. That is a low amount of eyeballs for a show purporting to be of the American people, for the American people. That is so low, in fact, that it is the lowest ratings in the history of the AMAs. The show even lost to Sunday Night Football. There are a bunch of think-pieces out today saying it’s because music isn’t as popular anymore, but me, I blame Bieber. [DMN]
